Giving Back
Brenda volunteers as a parent helping at numerous 4-H and FFA
events throughout the year. She enjoys organizing fundraising events for
West County Softball in Sebastopol along with several schools, offering
Family Photo Days. She teaches photoshop and yearbook class at Orchard View
School in Sebastopol each week. She gives back daily by acting as lead
mentor in her school picture day business.

Our History
1999-2004
Brenda's interest in photography began in high school and continued throughout college.
She fell in love with photography capturing timeless moments and experiencing the joys of working with people.
In 1998 she launched her career into animal photography and rapidly expanded into portraits.
April 12, 1999 was the first wedding she photographed in Santa Rosa, California.
2005-2009
Brenda found success in the world of book publishing
with her stock images. She continues to specialize in photographing
kittens, puppies, adult dogs and baby pigs. Over the years she compiled
thousands of images and continues to capture new adorable and creative
portraits.
When she wasn't busy photographing High School
senior formals, weddings or family portraits she was lining up baby
kittens and puppies.
Her first daughter was born in 2005 and Brenda was very lucky that she could create a schedule allowing her to work as well as focus on being a new mom.
2010-2014
Brenda quickly realized she loved working with kids and started photographing at day cares in Santa Rosa. Building Blocks Pre-School hired Hawkes Photography to take their yearbook headshots.
Within the year, Hawkes Photography was contracting with Pre-schools, Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.
Brenda Ficco quickly earned recognition as Sonoma County's favorite school Picture Day Portrait Photographer. She has a unique way of working with young students allowing them show off their natural smiles. We are glad to know our portraits are framed and on display in many homes!
2015-Present
Hawkes School Portraits Company expanded during
the last three years and is the largest LOCAL School Picture Day
company in Sonoma County.
